You have good ideas! The Lincoln Park Zoo is good, and I give the Museum of Science and Industry [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img] !! Trust me, you will find so much to see at the Mus. of Sci. & Ind. that you will not need anything else to do that day! (Unless your daughters get bored, which I doubt, but I just don't know how kids are about these things--they will probably like a lot of the stuff but won't want to read all the placards like my husband and me, KWIM?) My husband and I did not get to see it all, and we didn't even pay to see the special exhibit they had at the time!

If your daughters liked the AG minis as well as the dolls, the Art Institute of Chicago has the most fabulous collection of miniature rooms that you could imagine. They are called the Thorne Rooms and capture almost 70 different rooms from different historical periods. Here's a link showing a couple of the rooms.

And if you go there.. make sure to make a quick trip upstairs to gaze at the Monets, Renoirs etc

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Oooh, I forgot about those but they are SO awesome!! The Art Institute looks expensive ($10 a person, at least for the adults) but that is just a suggested donation and you don't have to pay that much. They will let you in as long as you pay something.

I suggest Ghiradhelli's chocolate shop and sitting at the old fasjioned soda fountain and having ice cream much like Samantha would have done. Also, Uno's can be VERY crowded and has long lines. Try Due, it's the same thing but bigger! Pizzareia Due was the owner's second restraunt and the only one besides the original he still owns. Jecca and I did Uno and it was FABULOUS! Different from the chains somewhat but still really good and I'm picky so you know it's good if i say so!
